A birthday salute

Yesterday was a perfect early summer day — 80° and sunny, with just a whisper of breeze.  Despite the beautiful weather (and without a bit of guilt), I spent the morning in the studio, finishing some projects and amazing myself with how much mess I created.  Gotta say this about art:  it’s not neat!

I realized I had never shared this card from my May camps.  It was my first camp card using a wheel, as amazing as that sounds (even to me).  But I love anything Americana, so I bought the Red, White & Blue jumbo wheel.  After wheeling the Not Quite Navy panel and adhering it to the Kraft card stock, we used the Movers & Shapers die to create the star window.  (See what happened to the piece cut out here.)  Fun!

  1. I love this! You’ve inspired me to drag out the Punch Window dies and make something today. And, despite the gorgeous weather here as well, I won’t feel a bit guilty, either! 😀
