Now a note about the ruffle at the edge of the sentiment panel. (You’ve seen the tutorial here.) I’ve made many of these ruffles, but I admit that this was my first attempt at using vellum. Well, my second. The first time I used Vellum Card Stock — way too stiff. So this time I used the paper version of vellum. Crimping the punched strip is supposed to make ruffling it easier, but that doesn’t really happen with the vellum; I seemed to be smoothing out the crimps as I tried to push them together! Try this on a project — if you don’t expect machine-like perfection!
