Mulberry and butterfly

When checking my paper supply, I ran across a small amount of mulberry paper, discontinued from Stampin’ Up!’s inventory several years ago.  I don’t think I ever used it for anything except a torn mat to soften a card and give it a bit of a fairyland feel.

Do you still have some mulberry paper, too?  You probably know that it tears more easily when wet, and this is easily accomplished by running an Aqua Painter along the edge.  Rather than tearing, you are pulling the edge out to create that feathery look.

I started this card with the pinked Basic Gray piece that originally belonged to another project.  When I accidentally put it against a piece of So Saffron, I was smitten!

Stamps:  Baroque Motifs (p. 131)

Paper:  So Saffron, mulberry paper, Barely Banana, Basic Gray, More Mustard
