Nothing like a snow day — all events canceled!!! — to crank up the productivity. That’s what I had yesterday, and except for some business work up in the office and a couple dozen turns up and down the drive with the Toro, I was in the studio all day. Although there was no school, UPS managed to get through the less-than-forecasted accumulation and deliver a box of goodies. Happy, happy day!
When I showed DH a valentine designed for camp this month, he protested that valentines should be red or pink. Sigh. So I designed this one for him, unmistakable in its purpose.
Then I recalled that I used the same color scheme (and even the same glittery heart) for his valentine last year! Think he’ll remember?
This new Embosslits die is fabulous. The front de-bosses (pushes in) teeny hearts. But the other side is equally charming! (In fact, I’m not sure which is the “right” side!) It is only very slightly larger than the Full Heart Punch, creating a little scalloped border mat. So how did I get the mat for this heart? (Hand cut? Never!) The Punch Windows die, designed to cut a window in a panel, can be used on a scrap to make the perfect mat. (This is true for all the dies in this set!)
