Brenda Weaver had created an amazing card with this faux embossing technique, which is layering punched or cut-out pieces on the same color panel. It creates the shadows you see from true dry embossing, but with sharper edges. So I thought I would whip up this CASEd version.
Let me tell you, this looks easier than it is. Of course, if I had tried simpler shapes (that will be my next attempt) instead of words that had to be fitted together and straight, it would have been a snap. I love the way this looks, but I don’t think I’ll be duplicating it!
The words are from the exclusive Stampin’ Up! Join the Cheer Sizzlit Decorative Strip Die, found on page 196. It makes a great border for a scrapbook page. You can also carefully trim the words apart.
