Autumn Splendor, with a masculine feel

Fall in our family is packed with one birthday after another, so I must get organized.  I know I said I had plenty of cards ready to go, but, well, ummm — I just had to stamp!

I’ve been trying to find the perfect rubber stamp in my collection for the Embossed Re-inker Spread technique.  I knew that the images in Autumn Splendor don’t really have enough open space to take advantage of this process, but I thought it was worth a try!

Because there was so much black on the leaf (and if I had had gold embossing powder, it would have been a better choice), I chose to accent the other elements as well.

Stamp:  Autumn Splendor (p. 12 Stampin’ Up! Holiday Mini)

Ink:  VersaMark

Paper:  Old Olive, Dusty Durango, Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, Water Color Paper

Other:  Stampin’ Emboss Powder (Black), various ink refills, Aqua Painter, Big Shot and Texture Plates Kit #4 (Weave), Vintage Brads (Black), Stampin’ Dimensionals
