… if you don’t want to hear the answer! I asked DH if he thought this card was too girly. He wrinkled his nose. “I think so.” Naturally, it’s my Valentine to him, which I told him, and we laughed. Frankly, I thought it looked rather sophisticated and maybe a little sexy. Oh well, it’s finished, it’s got a gushy message inside, and there you have it!
I’m on a long-card kick, which is my February card challenge for my campers. (Do you have a camp scheduled on your calendar? Check here for what’s coming up.)
This card simply uses layered punched elements. I smooshed a scrap of Real Red into VersaMark, then heat embossed it with Iridescent Ice (a technique called Faux Diamond Dust or Dazzling Diamond Dust). The small heart punchies add just a bit of bling. It’s difficult to see (here and IRL) the pierced edge on the BB along the bottom.
Stamps: None!
Ink: VersaMark
Paper: Very Vanilla, Basic Black, Real Red
Other: 1¼” Square Punch, Heart to Heart Punch, 1″ Circle Punch, Stampin’ Emboss Powder (Iridescent Ice) and Heat Tool, 1/4″ Grosgrain Ribbon (Real Red), Mat Pack and Piercing Tool
I vote not at all girly. James Bond came to mind.
Very “handsome” card Debra! So glad you joined the world of blogging. Will look forward to seeing more! 🙂
Well, I’ve looked at this card, and thought too, not too girly. I love red, black and white, it’s a winning
combination!!!
What a pretty card!
