New Year Blessings!

I love New Year’s Day.  It’s the day when I begin to read the January magazines that I’ve set to the side.  (The rule:  No January mags until January 1.  Life moves quickly enough during Christmas without jumping ahead into the next month, or year.)

So the emphasis is on organization, list making, planning.  Get the calendar prepped.  Clean out the pantry.  Re-think where things are located.  Make it easier to do the things I want or need to get accomplished.

We made these at the last stamp camp in December!

We had a very, very late night.  No secret — I’m middle aged.  Don’t really care for late nights any more, unless necessary.  And yet there we were with friends playing Dominoes until 2:00 a.m. I kept thinking, We should go, but the next thought was, Why?  I had fun and way too much coffee.  Consequently, even after we got to bed I was wide awake.  So there’s a nap calling my name this afternoon, I’m sure!

I brought this to the hostess last night.

Stamps:  None!

Ink:  None!

Paper:  Bella Rose Designer Series Paper, scrap chipboard (I actually glued three layers of thin stuff, then the DSP before running it through the Big Shot)

Other:  Big Shot Die-Cut Machine, Serif Essentials die, Taffeta Ribbon (Riding Hood Red), mini comp book

I love these little books. I always have one in my purse and after looking at the one I am currently carrying I’ve decided that at the least I should have a new one each year.
